ABOUT REDUNCA SAFARIS
Lion and hyena. Hippo and Elephant, Wildebeest and Zebra, Leopard and Cheetah, Our wildlife experts can make you a tailor-made Tanzania safari to see them all. If you want to actually track the wildebeest migration, it has to be in Tanzania.
Pack a good pair of binoculars and let us take you to a mobile camp that closely follows all the action, including a front-row view as the herds of wildebeest dash across the crocodile-infested waters of the Mara River.
Alternatively, consider the cool, swampy areas of Tarangire National Park, where huge herds of elephant come down to bathe and play. Or Katavi, where you’ll find serious numbers of crocs and hippos – some of them in pods of up to five hundred.
If, however, you want to explore lush forests and verdant vegetation, head straight to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, the world’s largest volcanic caldera and sanctuary to an extraordinary proliferation of wildlife. Nearby lies Lake Manyara, where you can’t miss the pink flamingos that skim the surface of the country’s biggest soda lake, or the area’s famous tree-climbing lions.
For boat trips and birdwatching, make your way south to two of Africa’s largest and least exploited wildlife sanctuaries. Herds of elephant, buffalo and roan antelope roam the hills and rock-strewn landscape of the mighty Nyerere National Park, while Ruaha National Park protects a truly untamed landscaped that has changed little since the days of the early European explorers.
